Is HGH the Ultimate Anti Aging Drug?

Ultimate HGH Comments Off

HGH is the human growth hormone that is the primary cause of our growth when we are young. Produced by the pituitary gland in our brains, the other roles it plays in our bodies are vital and range from protecting us against infection and disease to helping our bones develop correctly. It is a widely known fact that although the gland is prolific in its production during our youth, this tails off as we get older. There are some people that claim or believe that if the HGH was continued to be produced in our bodies throughout our lives we would continue to receive all the positive benefits it has on our bodies. In short, we would not age. Sound good?

Which HGH should I use?
The ultimate HGH supplement comes in the form of an injection. Currently, only when there is a genuine deficiency in the body will a doctor prescribe a course of HGH injections. However, private clinics do perform these injections for their paying customers. Touted as it is as the ultimate HGH supplement bring with it a rather costly price tag. There are other forms of supplement however that are available to buy that come in the form of pills or sprays. There is a wide variety available all claiming to be the genuine article whilst simultaneously rubbishing the others and claiming to be the only one that works. Generally speaking there are 2 types of HGH supplement. 1 type is simply the hormone itself and when taken (usually either in the form of a pill or capsule or ingested via a spray) is absorbed into the blood and dispersed around the body in the usual way. The other form claims to be a more natural method in that it simply encourages the body to produce more the hormone.

How Effective is HGH?
It was after a book was written around 20 years ago in which the authors claimed combining a healthy diet and exercise routine with regular HGH supplements can lead to a healthy and full life that the idea really took off. Shortly afterwards, a study was carried out and the results published in the New England Journal of Medicine which described how HGH was used to treat a group of men over 60. One half of the group were given a placebo whilst the other half had HGH administered to them. Results indicated that those who had received the HGH had undergone an increase in lean body mass and bone mineral compared to those who had gone without thus working as an effective anti-aging measure. Alongside the revolutionary book, this study led to the explosion of products we see on the market today. Bodybuilders and anti-aging experts all began publicizing HGH supplements as the key to a fitter, healthier and younger body.

Are there side effects to HGH?
Doctors and scientists on the other hand were not so quick to take these results as foolproof. Many said that the test was not carried out for long enough in order to gain a real perspective on any possible side effects. They also provided alternative reasons for the increase of muscle and decrease of fatty tissue. It was suggested that the HGH supplements merely allow more water to be stored in the muscles which would explain the increase in lean body mass that results pointed to from the study in 1990. So the jury is still out officially on whether HGH supplements do provide the answer and the ultimate treatment for keeping aging at bay and building up your muscles.

Bodybuilders tend to favour ultimately HGH supplements as they do not carry the stigma that an anabolic steroid does, and you can buy them over the counter. It wouldn’t be a totally fair report however if the side-effects were not mentioned, and there have certainly been reports of these with long term use. Joint swelling and pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and an increased risk of diabetes are among the most common side-effects reported. There have even been more alarming reports of people developing what is known as dual-personality disorder through which they carry out acts, sometimes even violent that are totally out of character.
